ARGH...

Posted by Lana at 4:07 PM 0 comments
I think in my last post i decided that i will be doing measurements now instead of numbers.. i've decided this based on the fact that all my clothes that i want to fit back into require my measurements to be a certain number rather that my weight being a certain number.. fortunately i was keeping measurements too since the start of the year..

measurements at the start of the year were
B - 95, W - 104.5, T - 120

most recent measurements (14/1) were
B - 96.5, W - 104.5, T - 116.5

My T measurement its the one i would really like to see changes.. and i hope the running program is going to contribute to this!

Speaking of which, I am meant to be doing just that right now... yesterday was my running day but instead i took my puppy to the vet and went out to Tapas for hubbys bday celebrations.. alas..

i shall endeavour to go shortly - but i would have to get out of my pyjamas and its saturday morning.... :}

it's that time again

so we went into this month not really trying.. well trying without over doing it and focusing too hard.. i'm sure anyone who's in the same head space as us would be aware of what i'm trying to say here..

I am pretty certain I ovulated in the early hours of this morning.. now the only question is - were there any swimmers present at the time of ovulation.. i guess only time will tell.. 9 days until I can test.. oh how i hope to see two lines!

Other baby discussions this week centered around the possibility of adoption or even surrogacy.. both options are viable to us however both options are time consuming and expensive.. don't get me wrong having cashew and being in the care of a maternofetal specialist is likely to be expensive but i'm not sure how the costs compare. I am pleased that we are both on the same page with regard to using these methods to expand our family even though the discussion is perhaps a little bit premature!

I'm off to run now people.. C25K is going well.. i am however reconsidering the weekly weight measurements in lieu of body measurements... wish me luck!

C25K - Check in

Posted by Lana at 3:34 AM 0 comments
So my motivation this week has not been lacking.. in fact my eating habits have changed dramatically and for the better! Unfortunately my exercising has not been as good as i'd like. Still I did exercise and I think the combination of the two changes has made a difference..

So the results..
78.5kg
BMI - 29.5

C25K

Posted by Lana at 7:17 AM 0 comments
In an effort to loose my baby weight from my last pregnancy and hopefully contribute to being a healthy weight and fall pregnant again.. i have decided to start a program called C25K - Couch to 5 km.. apparently in 9 weeks i should be able to walk 5 km if i do this program in its entirety! I started doing this program before my last pregnancy and i quiet enjoyed it..

So this is my new years resolution.. i figure if i put it on here and its in a public forum then I am compelled to keep up the work..

I did a 3 km walk with the puppies this afternoon - eased myself in.. i will start running tomorrow..

My current weight is 79.7kg - my goal weight is 72kg.. i am going to weigh in and measure once a week.. BMI - 30

Stay tuned...

Grrr

We are still trying.. with no luck.. our last official try took us three months to get pregnant - so this month being the third in our second attempt to get pregnant is very disheartening.

I had a dream/thought on Matilda's birthday about another baby - unsure if it was mine.. it sure felt like it was.. i even knew his name.. i felt terrible about thinking/dreaming about him..

sunday night/monday morning.. i woke up with a startle.. i was dreaming that i had taken a pregnancy test and that it was positive.. i am not really meant to test for a few more days so i rode monday out.. tuesday i couldnt help myself so i tested... no two pink lines :( i know i tested early but i still was hoping that i would see something..

i cant tell if having a baby on the brain is causing these thoughts or if they are premonitions - i have never had such dreams before..

i bought another test this afternoon and will take it on christmas morning that will be three days until george (aunt flow's nephew) is due.. main reason being that i wouldn't want to indulge on the seafood feast and put any potential cashews at risk just in case..

so i guess now we wait.. 2 more sleeps til the next testing...
